In the splendid building of almost 1,000 square meter you will be bewitched by natural beauty from all corners of the world.

The glass and cast iron of the Palmhouse constitute a glittering work of art in the middle of the park. Inspired by the famous Crystal Palace in London, it has been a popular attraction since 1878, where visitors can experience nearly 1,000 square meter of tropical heat and a diversity of exotic plants, palms obviously among them.

The five sections of the Palmhouse give both a good general picture of the flora of foreign countries and a flavour of the last century that contrasts with the stylistic ideal of our own day.

The Garden Society of Gothenburg is one of the best-preserved 19th century parks in Europe.

A verdant ocean in the very heart of the city; a place to relax and be inspired. Undulating lawns and flower beds filled with native and exotic plants alongside historic buildings that take you back to the golden age of horticulture. With its gentle lines, the park has a very distinct 19th century atmosphere.

Contemporary flowerbeds, woodlands and the magnificent collection of roses also make the park of interest from a modern-day perspective. There is no doubt that from the very beginning The Garden Society of Gothenburg has been an oasis for the people of Gothenburg.
